You may remember the first time I tried to have a play around with Xoops. At the time I said to myself that I wouldn’t bother with it again. However I had a few hours to kill today so thought I’d give it another go and set aside the afternoon to install it with a view to using it on one of my new projects.

I’m three hours in and I still can’t get the sodding thing to do what I want so I’ve now deleted all of the core files off my server and hard drive and will not be making the same mistake again. I’ve used Joomla before so I think I’ll be giving that another whirl or maybe giving Drupal a whirl. The sooner the guys at WordPress move to a fully rounded CMS solution the better.
