Just wading through my Need To Read folder (currently over 200 sites) and thought I’d share a few of them with you.
Covered in Useful Links #1 we have a privacy policy generator, how to cloak your Clickbank links, ready made AdSense templates, cyber stalking, Web 2.0 Awards, 1800 blogging directories, a giant blogging terms glossary, how to protect your web copy and some interesting SEO advice.
Should keep you busy for a while
Privacy Policy Generator - if you’re collecting data from your readers, it’s essential to have a privacy policy to add credibility to your site. However, don’t just slap one on your site and forget about it. Adhere to your own rules! I’ve not used it but it looks like a good resource.
Clickbank Cloak - if you’re using Clickbank, the URL generated looks ugly and unprofessional. Use the PHP redirect in post #8. Not only does it cloak the link but it also allows you to see how many clicks you get through your site stats.
AdSense Templates - ready made AdSense templates including images. Again, not used, but it looks OK. **UPDATE 19 DECEMBER** Please see note in comments regarding AdSense policy on using images
Stalking - an interesting article about how to see what successful people are doing online to make money.
Web2.0 Awards - a list of the SEOmoz 2006 Web 2.0 awards. It’s been on my list for a while because of some excellent comments by Danny Sullivan. Worth a read.
1800 Directory Links - following on from the 3000 directory links by Matt Sawyer, these links are more blog specific.
Giant Blogging Terms Glossary - does what it says on the tin.
Copyscape - if you think someone is stealing content from your site, use the Copyscape page to check. You enter in your own URL and it does a check to find duplicate content. Stop the copyright thieves in their tracks!
SEO Speedwagon - for no other reason than I like the name! Oh and it also contains some useful information.
