A couple of months ago I took part in an ongoing project run by Edinburgh graphic designer David Airey entitled The Face Behind The Blog. The idea is that you share pictures of yourself so that your reader know who is behind the blog. Hence the name. Clever stuff, eh?
Anyway, in my original post I tried to be a bit different and posted a link to a commercial I shot last year. Sadly the video clip was taken offline so people never got to see the face behind the blog so I’ve dug around my archives and come up with this.
Cobra Beer sponsor ITV4 film screenings over here in the UK and a couple of years ago I was involved in the making of one of the idents that run in the commercial breaks. I played the character of Alfie the Urban Zombie but, sadly, the commercials were never aired as the powers that be at ITV deemed them to be too offensive for mainstream transmission. I think it had something to do with Alfie eating a hamster. Or it could have been him ripping one of his arms off so he could park in a disabled bay. I dunno. Anyway, since you never got to see it on television, here, in all it’s gory glory, is a screen capture from Alfie the Urban Zombie 😀
Incidentally, you might want to take a visit to David’s site because as part of his blogs anniversary he’s giving away $4000 worth of prizes including podcasting gear (courtesy of Fraser’s Affiliate Marketing Blog), a custom WordPress theme by the immensely talented Nate Whitehill, a personal marketing plan by Maki from Dosh Dosh which is probably worth $4k on it’s own, SEO consultation by the Master Baiter himself, $60 worth of books from Amazon courtesy of Darren at ProBlogger, seriously handy 2GB USB storage keys from the folks at Terinea as well as a free logo design by the man himself. Find out more by visiting his site.
UPDATE: The Fart Attack video is back on YouTube. Grab it whilst it’s hot 😉
