I’ve decided to give Text Link Ads a whirl on this site after a number of recommendations from the likes of ShoeMoney, Todd Malicoat and Michael Gray. TLA claim that they can “improve your traffic and search engine rankings” so it’s got to be worth a shot! One of the great things about TLA is that that you can run their ads alongside AdSense because they’re not offering contextually served ads so you are effectively getting someone else to sell ads on your site without having to lift a finger.
Part of the sign up process involved me coming up with a short (less than 300 characters) description of Twenty Steps. Now the site has evolved somewhat from when I started so I didn’t really know quite what to write so this is what I ended up with:
An online diary about how to make money using the internet including SEO, web design, affiliate schemes and niche marketing. The site focuses on how to get the best return on no or low investment as well as monitoring developments in the field of online marketing.
Is that a fair reflection on what I’m doing these days? I’d be interested to hear your feedback.

how about this, it’s a bit more ‘advertiser friendly’
Topics and discussions focused on SEO, web design, affiliate and niche marketing and how to achieve the most ROI with low startup and investment costs.
