Not the sort of thing I’d normally mention but I just found this story on The Londonist.
Sony, obviously in a generous mood, gave the first 100 customers to purchase a £425 ($834 USD) PS3 a free 46″ HDTV and a free taxi ride home. In all, Sony gave away over £250,000 ($490,450 USD) in HDTVs to accompany the PS3 launch.
Now I’d been having a laugh with a couple of people earlier in the day about the fact that these spotty geeks will have been queuing for hours to get their grubby little mitts on a new PS3 but, it seems, that the laugh is on me. A free 46″ HDTV?!?! Almost worth being a geek

Is easy to see why people made long lines waiting to get the own ps3 as this is the best gaming console ever to be made.

I really don’t think that this a great deal. I mean this playstation this thing is not that great.
I would rather play my games on my PC. That is the best way. And its also a waste of money.
