Sony Playstation 3 giveaway!

March 23rd, 2007 · 7 Comments

Not the sort of thing I’d normally mention but I just found this story on The Londonist.

Sony, obviously in a generous mood, gave the first 100 customers to purchase a £425 ($834 USD) PS3 a free 46″ HDTV and a free taxi ride home. In all, Sony gave away over £250,000 ($490,450 USD) in HDTVs to accompany the PS3 launch.

Now I’d been having a laugh with a couple of people earlier in the day about the fact that these spotty geeks will have been queuing for hours to get their grubby little mitts on a new PS3 but, it seems, that the laugh is on me. A free 46″ HDTV?!?! Almost worth being a geek 😯

Is easy to see why people made long lines waiting to get the own ps3 as this is the best gaming console ever to be made.

I really don’t think that this a great deal. I mean this playstation this thing is not that great.

I would rather play my games on my PC. That is the best way. And its also a waste of money.

I have a 21 year old son who plays war craft video game 24/7 , he does not want to work or go to school , he does not have a girlfriend , he make every excuse not to do either, I know I am enabling him by letting him life in the house for free, I want to put him out of the house but I think he needs help, I put him in counselling but I don’t know what I need to do for this particular problem. This is so stressful and at my wit end, any suggestions?
