When I first started using the internet I connected with a 28.8k modem. There was something exciting about the weird noises it made and the expectation that AOL would drop my connection within seconds. I almost miss those days.
Anyway Speedtest.net is a great website that will tell you exactly how fast your browsing the web. The graphic is my current speed - 2783 kilobits per second. What’s yours?

Thanks for this article and the website you’ve just given. I just tried to visit and test the speed meter and it works. Now I know more about the speed and capabilities of my broadband provider…

I haven’t visited the website. But mine is 10mbps, that’s fast enough for me.
