Win A Years Free Web Hosting

August 30th, 2007 · 22 Comments

The last couple of weeks has been pretty hectic for me with one thing and another. I’ve been busy on a number of client sites as well as working on a film project that has been ongoing for most of the year. In between script meetings and building sites for other people, the only spare time I’ve had has been occupied with sleeping so, as a result, my feed reader topped 1000 unread items at the beginning of this week.

This afternoon I was able to free up some time so I thought I’d try to make a dent in that figure. I was looking through Pronet Advertising when I came across an article entitled Speak Your Customers Language which looks at…oh heck, I dunno what it looks at because, to be honest, my attention was drawn to the graphic they used in the article.

It’s your very own cut-out-and-keep clip art Rand Fishkin!

Competition Time: Leave a comment on this post telling us who Rand is talking to and what they’re talking about. The funniest response will win a years free hosting with DreamHost worth $119. Deadline for entries 30 September 07.

UPDATE 10 SEPTEMBER: Less than 3 weeks to go and so far there’s only been one response so at this rate Chris from Blog-Op will win a years free hosting which, in fairness, he sounds like he could do with winning. However to make it a bit more fun, I’ve submitted my details to those lovely folks over at Contest Blogger who specialise in promoting contests in the blogosphere. Remember you only have until midnight September 30 to enter!

“I heard of this new fad called ‘color’ the other day…”

“I wonder where we get our hands on some of that?”

“Where have your eyes, nose, and mouth gone?”

“I can’t see yours too. This is strange…”

Rand Fiskin: I was thinking we could ask you some questions and maybe get you on the white board sometime?

    GUY 1
So , this guy shows up and tells me: You are in NBC’s DateLine “To Catch a Predator”, what are the odds when you are chatting with a 13 year old in Texas ??

    GUY 2
Really, what sick old man would lie to you telling that he’s a disturbed home alone child ??

Rand Fiskin: I wish I could quit you.
Sigmund Freud: Continue. We seem to be broaching a path that may lead to a significant aspect of your unconscious.
Rand Fiskin: No, I meant, think of all the other things I could do with every $119 I fork out for these psychoanalysis sessions. I could be giving, say, swiftsword, a year’s free hosting from DreamHost.
