I’ve pretty much finished on the movie I’ve been working on for the last month. I may have a couple more days next month but, for the moment, I’m back. I’m still wading through the hundreds of feeds in Google Reader so it’s going to take me a while to get back into the swing of things.
One of the things I’ve picked up on since I’ve been “away” is that Google have updated their link reporting for webmasters. Google Webmaster Tools now shows a more accurate list of incoming links to your website. The Webmaster Blog has an in depth explanation of the changes. Matt Cutts also has something to say about the changes too.
I’ve not had a chance to compare the link data with Yahoo! Site Explorer yet so I don’t know which of these resources I’ll be using for my definitive figures but it’s nice to see Google listening to their users. The lack of accurate data from the old link: command was frustrating to say the least.
Right, I’m off to wade through my feeds! 😀
