Continuing the look back at the last 12 months of Twenty Steps, we move into 2007 with a look back at my original plans for the year as well as focusing on a couple of old favourites – Google Bombing and the dreaded supplemental results…
- 2007 Battle Plan – Looking back at my original plan for 2007, I’m probably achieving around 50% of it with time management still being the biggest problem. Does anyone have any good resources they could suggest to help?
- Google Bombing – Interestingly enough, a few weeks after this article, Google announced that they’d changed the algorithm to prevent any future Google bombs. The jury is still out on that one. Many people, myself included, believe that they have not made any changes to the algo; all they’re doing is manually removing any Google bombs they become aware of.
- How to get out of Googles supplemental results – This is probably the subject that gets mentioned the most on a lot of sites I regularly read. Google keep changing the goalposts on this and, to be honest, I’m no longer focusing on it as much as I used to. The way I see it is that if you can generate traffic outside of the search engines then you’re no longer reliant on this constantly changing variable.
